We could show in a
Scientific Article on Editing Point Clouds in HydroVish
(published at WSCG2023)
that the user interaction available in HydroVish was about 30% faster than using alternative applications.
Additionally, HydroVish offers features and functionality not available elsewhere.
The example data set as used for the point cloud editing tutorial is available here:
EditingTutorial.f5 (33MB, HDF5 format).
Other file formats such as LAS or LAZ can be imported into and exported from HydroVish.
Editing itself is performed on the F5 file format for better performance and storing
the full undo history, as described in the scientific article.
